We all support each other here at OPEN
Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at OPEN Hairdressing
I am a colourist and stylist at OPEN Hairdressing Hemel Hempstead. However, I started hairdressing at seventeen years old because I love all kinds of fashion. I’m creative and this is my way of showing what I love to do.
I’ve been hairdressing for over a decade now, but I trained in Oxford and London at the start of my career. I then moved to Australia to work for four years. I was part of Wella’s artistic team, did colour in one of their salons and built a team before working at OPEN.
What do you think makes OPEN Hairdressing different to other salons?
OPEN is different in many ways. For me, the team is talented and supportive, and the décor is cool and minimal. The products we use at Hemel are Italian and sulphate free . The care the clients get from start to finish is genuine and fun.
What can clients expect when they have an appointment with you?
Above all, I offer to clients new and exciting possibilities with their hair because I genuinely care for what they want. Listening to their needs first helps me to offer the right advice. I treat the clients as if it was designing my own hair but I consider what suits their lifestyle. I always offer options for the future and make sure it’s their choice. There is no pressure when you have an appointment with me; I want clients to know that they can trust me.
What do you enjoy most about your role at OPEN Hairdressing?
I enjoy working with open-minded people where I can bounce ideas off others whilst I’m working. It’s great that we all support each other here at OPEN, even if we have different levels of experience. We also come together as a team even though we all work independently.
Where can clients find you?
