From 11 am – 3 pm on Sunday 1st September, Hemel Hempstead will be a haven for artisan goods, crafts and locally sourced food. That’s right – Hemel Old Town Market is back, and it’s only a stone’s throw away from OPEN’s Hemel salon. This event only occurs on the first Sunday of each month, so that’s all the more reason to come and support independent businesses like us.
Where is it?
Located in the Church square, the historic Old Town will play host a number of fantastic stalls. Shoppers will have the chance to discover quirky and exclusive products as well as take advantage of the shops nearby. You may even secure yourself an early Christmas present or two!
What can I expect?
Expect no two stools to be the same! However, if you plan on visiting this event, we strongly advise that you don’t much food beforehand! There will be a number of food-based stalls dotted throughout the square. And where there’s food, there’s free tastings.
Furthermore, it’s rare that we get to see producer and produce in the same place, so allow yourself to be curious and come and see what’s on offer. Always make sure if some foods are safe to eat if you have allergies.
Where can I park?
Visitors can park in the High Street or Gadebridge Park’s car park. This sits just behind the walled gardens of St Mary’s Church. We advise that you make your way to the event in good time before the crowds grow and the number parking spaces decline.
