OPEN isn’t like any salon I’ve worked at before
Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at OPEN Hairdressing
I’m a hairdressing apprentice at OPEN Hairdressing Harpenden. I’ve always been into hair as my mum trained as a hairdresser and my sister is a colourist. Hairdressing was something I’ve been passionate about from an early age.
What attracted to you start working at OPEN Hairdressing?
I wanted to work at OPEN due to the in-house training scheme and overall support you get from the company. They were extremely welcoming, and the salon just had an amazing vibe. The team is so helpful when it comes to training as well. After my trial shift, I was ready to work and become a member of the salon.
What skills are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on improving my colour knowledge and techniques. I’m also learning how to incorporate the best assets from my senior stylist into my own work. This is so I’ll feel prepared when handling any situation in the salon.
What do you enjoy most about working at OPEN Hairdressing?
OPEN isn’t like any salon I’ve worked at before. Everyone who works here brings something new and special to the team. You can see that everyone is passionate about hair and the atmosphere is brilliant. We can all have a laugh but also be professional.
What are your future goals?
In the future, I hope to be a full-time hair stylist or colourist. I also want to travel and do hairdressing around the world. I just want to share the OPEN experience with everyone!
