And for one of our clients, our aim was to do just that. Charley Meredew spoke to us about her anxiety, and how she overcame her nerves to becoming confident when booking future appointments with us:
Charley, how did you first hear about OPEN Hairdressing?
I discovered OPEN Hairdressing when a branch opened up in the town. At the time, I hadn’t had my haircut for 3 years because I had been suffering with severe anxiety. But I was walking past the Harpenden salon one day and I was struck by how upbeat & lively the team seemed. I then decided to send them a message via Facebook and explain my situation. The response and understanding I received was amazing. It instantly made me feel more at ease – so I made an appointment straight away.
What do you enjoy most about being at OPEN?
When I was going to my appointment, I was extremely nervous. However, the staff instantly made me feel calm and relaxed. I was allowed to go upstairs away from the main salon and the whole experience was just wonderful.
Why do think OPEN Hairdressing is different to other salons?
The staff are so kind, funny and take so much time getting your style perfect! For me, this is how OPEN differs from other salons that I’ve been to in the past. They are the only people to appreciate my situation and really put themselves out to help as much as they can. As a result, I’ve already booked another appointment.
What would you say to someone who is considering changing hair salons?
I would 100% recommend OPEN to people looking for a new salon, I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather go now!
